Yeah, so the Grammys happened. Whatever. I paid as much attention as I ever have (by being totally oblivious to the fact that they were even on). The only “news” I was privileged enough to learn when I opened the Twit machine or Sludgebox was that Kayne was talking smack about my boy Beck.
Surely you’ve all heard this somehow interesting trivial whogivesadamn, so there’s no way I’m putting in the effort to track down links to back up what I’m saying. Use the google machine, forchristsake!
Silly as this nonsense was, it got me thinking: fuck any of you who worked hard and were rewarded with popularity! Instead of indulge in this junk, I only see fit to indulge myself, instead.
Tonight, from 11:00 to midnight, tune in for Operation Manatee’s Wish This Were A Grammy! Or something. Whatever. Cory’s still not here, so I’m winging it.
Cory and Chris take things a little more laid-back this week, laying off the ultra-heavy stuff – and the acid.
If we’d thought this out a little better, we could have had a theme prepared for you tonight, but as it turns out, that’s hard to do once, let alone back-to-back. In case you missed last week’s Mosaic special, be sure to check out the podcast.
In this show, Cory and Chris explore new territory. Cory is winging it, which makes him uncomfortable. Chris refuses to wear pants, which also makes Cory uncomfortable. They even played a couple of vinyl records. We’re not sure what vinyl is, but it’s heavy and Chris seems to like it.
First of all, thanks to Chris for the really nice post on Friday!
Second of all, yes… the inevitable has happened. The ball has become chained, the noose has become tightened… um, the goose has been cooked…? However else you want to say it, I am now hitched… I figure the mother of my daughter, the co-signor to all my loans and debts should also become my wife… the Sith to my Jedi (maybe… somedays…)
The point? I’ve been REALLY busy for the last 4-5 days and I’m not sure what kind of music I’ll manage to throw together for your listening enjoyment tonight. Come, tune in tonight at 11:00 pm and see just how scattered we can REALLY be!
